debt collection

A firm professional approach governs every aspect of the collection process, providing effective and realistic debt collection. debt collection

Proactive collection by telephone

By far the most important step in collecting debt is contact with each debtor by phone. This contact allows interactive discussions with debtors to establish insight into financial situations, reasons for non-payment and cement steps to obtain payment, excuses are overcome and disputes resolved. Our aim is to quickly identify a debtors willingness and ability to pay and then apply consistent pressure to obtain payment. We make your overdue a priority so debtors quickly understand the debt is not going away and that action will only escalate if the account is not paid.

Easy payment methods

Consumers may experience financial hardship from time to time, meaning they are unable to pay large amounts in one payment. By breaking a debt into more manageable payments and offering multiple easy payment methods including Cheque, Post dated cheque, money order, Credit Card, B-PAY and Post Office Payments (Payment options vary depending on region), debtors have no excuse not to pay or start reducing the account by weekly or monthly installments. Payment Arrangements are monitored closely to ensure adherence to the original agreement and bring defaults quickly in line.

Automated event driven processes

Major investments have been made to ensure our security and performance of our information systems. Based on leading edge backend technologies such as SQL database, apache http and mysql / php frontends our system features over 100 completely automated event driven procedures. This ensures all routine steps are automatic and take place without user intervention. Broken agreements and defaults are followed up automatically. This allows our talented collectors to concentrate on what they do best – collect by phone.

Dispute resolution

Many debtors try to avoid payment by raising spurious or vexatious disputes. Sometimes the amount concerned can be a fraction of the total debt value outstanding, and yet the debtor withholds the entire sum overdue. Our team of collectors are fully trained in the art of negotiation and quickly establish the facts of each situation. Disputes can then be overturned and matters settled quickly. If required litigation through the Courts can be engaged to further cement the position and speed up recovery when dispute resolution fails.

Personal visits

When a more persistent approach is needed or further investigations required the debtor can be visited at home or work with the aim of obtaining payment or further information to assist in the collection process.

Company credit reports

If required we can access information held on a Companies public credit file. Ideal for obtaining details of current and previous directors, company credit history including credit applications and defaults, court judgments and writs, securities, petitions / appointment of external administrators and liquidators. This facility is extremely useful in determining the best course of action based on a debtors previous credit history.

Legal Action

Concentrating on proven collection techniques our aim is to obtain payment without legal action. When used correctly, the law can be leveraged to obtain payment from stubborn debtors who refuse to pay and circumstances where non-legal remedies have been unsuccessful. When commencing legal action we provide cost effective, result driven cases and always attempt to obtain costs leaving minimal out of pocket expenses.
